UAE President arrives in Jordan on working visit

Sharjah24 – WAM: King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain on Thursday received Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders, in the presence of a number of ministers and senior officials.

Dr. Al-Tayeb's visit to Bahrain comes in response to the invitation of King Hamad to participate in the “Bahrain Forum For Dialogue: East And West For Human Coexistence,” which started yesterday in Manama.

The King commended the visit of the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar to the Kingdom and his participation in the forum and stressed the key role of Al-Azhar Mosque in promoting the Islamic values of moderation, tolerance and coexistence.

Dr. Al-Tayeb expressed thanks and appreciation to the Bahraini King for the gracious welcome and hospitality and for his invitation to participate in the forum.
