Sharjah 24: The Expo Centre Sharjah (ECS) and India's World Trade Center Noida have discussed ways to enhance cooperation, support the Sharjah-India business communities and promote investment opportunities available in both countries.
The two sides also explored avenues of making the most of one another's expertise to promote business tourism and boost the performance of the exhibition sector in the two nations.

His Excellency Saif Mohamed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, and Khair Ull Nissa Sheikh, Executive Director at World Trade Center India Services, held the discussions during a coordination meeting. They talked about ways to increase the presence of Indian and Sharjah-based companies at events and activities that the two sides host throughout the year.

The discussion also covered the promising opportunities offered by both nations' exhibition industries and the importance of boosting the sector's contribution to the economies of the two nations. Additionally, the meeting touched on the Expo Centre's future development plans and the calendar of events to be hosted over the course of the next year.

"The Emirate of Sharjah and India are providing a great example of effective collaboration, especially in the exhibition business, as evidenced by the significant participation of Indian businesses in the fairs organized by the Expo Centre Sharjah, particularly the International Education Fair, the Watch & Jewellery Middle East Show, where this year more than 60 Indian companies participated, as well as the "Come on Kerala," which is the largest Indian commercial and cultural event in the GCC,” said HE Saif Mohamed Al Midfa.

Al Midfa emphasized that the meeting has provided an ideal platform for discussing ways to strengthen the already close ties, enhancing joint work between the two sides in the exhibition and conference sector, and bringing together efforts to increase the industry's contribution to supporting various economic and commercial sectors of the two countries.

For her part, Khair Ull Nissa Sheikh said that the World Trade Centre in Noida is looking into ways to boost its partnership with the Expo Centre Sharjah thanks to its wide expertise and stellar reputation. Together, we will strengthen the exhibition sector in the two nations, and we will gain from the Expo Centre Sharjah's outstanding organizational qualities, which will serve as a springboard for encouraging cooperative action between the business communities of the two nations.
