Sharjah 24 – WAM: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation hosted a delegation of Kyrgyz businesswomen as part of broader efforts to boost economic and trade cooperation between the UAE and Kyrgyzstan.
During the visit, the businesswomen delegation participated in a seminar organised by the Ministry on “Empowering Women in Business”. The seminar also saw the participation of the UAE’s General Women’s Union, the UAE Businesswomen Council, and various members of the business community and business owners.
The seminar started with opening remarks delivered by Nazira Beishenalieva, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of CJSC "Bank of Asia”, and Amna Al Suwaidi, Deputy director of Economic and Trade Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
Panelists taking part in the seminar discussions included Dr Aisha Bint Buti Bin Bishr, Vice chairman of Emaar Development, and Alanoud Alhashimi, CEO of SDG GLOBAL. The key participants from the Kyrgyz side included Elena Kalashnikova, Founder & Director of Aksay Travel LLC and Tourism Development Support Fund in Kyrgyzstan, as well as Minara Sherikulova, President of the “Association of Korean Studies Teachers of Central Asian Universities”, the Founder of Korean Institute of Central Asia, and President of Kyrgyz Korean College.
