48 distant affiliates and 36 attendees took part in the field trip. The affiliates gained knowledge of the operation of the control room during their visit to the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, and they learned how to create radio and television programmes and local news. A number of affiliates were chosen to test their communication and presentational abilities.
Sharjah Media City (Shams) reviewed for "job Shadow" affiliates many media services it offers and their role in assisting owners of small and medium-sized businesses, established businesses, and self-employed owners to start their entrepreneurial journeys.
During their visit to Al Khaleej newspaper, "Job Shadow" affiliates learned about different sections that make up the newspaper, and reviewed the archive and its stages of development from manual to electronic archiving. They also learned about its importance as it constitutes a comprehensive database of news and important local and international personalities.
