Sharjah 24: At the conclusion of its 11th edition, the International Government Communication Forum, organised by the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, came out with a set of recommendations and outstanding challenges in a number of issues and provided useful solutions to them.
Aisha Al Dhaheri, Senior Executive at the IGCF, confirmed that a ceremony was organised to honour the speakers, strategic partners, media and government institutions participating in the first and second day of the event, for their contribution to its success. Several recommendations focusing on humanitarian, cultural, economic, environmental and developmental aspects were also addressed.

Speaking exclusively to "Sharjah24", Al Dhaheri added that one of the most prominent recommendations is to invite governments to launch a platform for creative electronic solutions to the challenges they face with the participation of individuals, the private sector and influential content makers, and to adopt the best solutions and activate them after being voted on, as well as creating a "Government Communication Governance Guide" "with the cooperation of the concerned authorities from official institutions and communication experts, in addition to creating a specialised linguistic guide for crisis management that includes the most appropriate terms and words for public discourse.

Moreover, activating the partnership of governments with Arab drama for its role in influencing and transmitting positive messages and calling for more investment in Arab drama which is a real and effective platform for establishing culture, values and heritage, was among the central recommendations adopted by the forum.

The forum also adopted developing educational curricula and training programmes that contribute to building a generation capable of finding solutions to the challenges of societies and preparing leaders of influence with the power of the word, cooperation between communication teams in economic and academic institutions and specialised study centers in anticipating the economic future and proposing solutions to expected economic problems.

The forum further adopted other recommendations including preparing well-studied plans and programmes targeting all members of society and in line with their needs and nature to establish a culture of adapting to crises and finding solutions to "engineering change", preparing for the future of communication and keeping abreast of the media of artificial intelligence, metaverse and emerging technologies, setting government programmes to protect cultural diversity and maintaining balance between cultures and respecting difference and privacy.
