Sharjah24: The Sharjah Press Club of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB) held "Media Curriculum Session : Theoretical Reality and the Labour Market", to sparked light on the importance of practical application in universities.
During the session, Dr. Hussein Amin, Professor of Journalism and Media, and Director of the Kamal Adham Center for Television and Digital Journalism at the American University in Cairo, said that the workshop addressed the balance between theoretical reality and practical development in educational media curricula.
Speaking exclusively to “Sharjah 24”, Dr. Amin added that the session came out with useful outputs that assist students to engage in the labour market, including raising their efficiency at scientific and applied levels, and the hours of practical training in all Arab universities, where practical applications constitute 30% of students study in Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Media in order to polish students' skills to reflect the media integration between communications, information technology, journalism and media.
