Sharjah24 : Mohammed Khamis Al-Naqbi, Deputy Wali of Shis, expressed his deepest thanks and gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, for his interest and keenness to restore Shis region to its usual splendour.
In statements to “Sharjah 24”, Al Naqbi said that His Highness the ruler directed compensation to owners of houses that were damaged as a result of the torrential torrents that hit the area as a result of the Al Fahd depression.
Al Naqbi praised the efforts of Sharjah government institutions, including the Khorfakkan Municipality, in re-cleaning the area and working so far to repair and prepare the affected facilities, including Shis Park, which is scheduled to be reopened to visitors no later than next December.
The Deputy Wali of Shis confirmed that the area is full of various projects, and construction and development efforts are progressing in full swing, as work is underway on the Shis Rest House project and the popular market, and a refueling station is scheduled to be established in the near future.
