Sharjah 24 – WAM: Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Education, affirmed that the Ministry is proactive in its efforts to conduct comprehensive evaluation and continuous development of curricula, and formulate the best frameworks that support students’ intellectual, scientific and skill development.
He added that the Ministry works tirelessly to ensure that curricula are aligned with global future trends and developments, which in turn helps advance the educational system, while also fortifying the intellectual prowess of students, by establishing a behavioural system founded on productive societal values.
Dr. Al Falasi made this statement while attending a series of workshops on curricula and their objectives, which were organised by the Ministry's Curricula Sector at its headquarters in Dubai, in the presence of a number of senior officials, education specialists and educators from the Ministry of Education.
During the workshops, Dr. Al Falasi was briefed on the general framework of the UAE's curricula, relevant progress and plans and curricula-drafting strategies, as well as collaborations with strategic partners and relevant future plans. The workshops covered a variety of disciplines and educational stages and programmes.
He explained that the Ministry is working to lay the foundations to empower students, while factoring in psychological and behavioural aspects as well as enhancing students’ general abilities, instilling positive values and developing their critical and analytical thinking skills.
The Ministry is steadfast in its efforts to establish an educational system underpinned by societal values and culture, while also developing pedagogical practices and integrating modern teaching techniques, to ensure the rise of knowledge-powered generations that keep the highest of values alive, thus driving the UAE's growth even further while serving their community.
