Sharjah 24 – WAM: Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Frontline Heroes Office, has paid tribute to the wide range of police, fire, civil defence and other Frontline Professionals who worked around the clock to protect the people of the country's eastern area affected by last week’s torrential rains and flash floods.
In a statement, Sheikh Sultan paid his respects and offered condolences to the families of those who lost their lives during the floods.
He also expressed his gratitude to the Frontline Heroes and recognised their bravery and professionalism in the midst of their rapid response to the flash floods, lauding their efforts to rescue stranded UAE citizens and residents, while providing people who could not access their homes with safe accommodations.
Sheikh Sultan added that the rare weather conditions have showed the commitment of the UAE to act as one in the time of greatest need.
