This exhibition is among a series of exhibitions that have been held previously, whether realistic or virtual, in order to go in line with the changes and strengthen the exhibition organization to support national sectors. This comes in line with SEDD strategic objectives to contribute to planning and leading the overall economic development in the Emirate.
Commenting on that, Sultan Abdullah bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, SEDD Chairman, stressed that organizing this exhibition comes within SEDD’s efforts to encourage and stimulate economic activity in the emirate. Also, it seeks to encourage young citizens to become owners of successful projects, by starting small projects that qualify them with more effort and ambition to become owners of large projects. Likely, these exhibitions help such entrepreneurs to improve their income.
Furthermore, he pointed out that SEDD pays great attention to placing facilities and programs that enable young people to contribute to economic growth and promote SMEs. Also, he added that the Department works extensively to empower entrepreneurs to have their own local products in various economic fields. In addition, he illustrated that “Eid Exhibition” is considered a leading step to activate the contribution of national sectors, entrepreneurs, “Eitimad” and e-commerce licenses to the emirate's economic return, and encourage local investment to reach the prospects of success and sustainability and advance the economy in the emirate.
From his side, Ahmed bin Saed Al Suwaidi, Deputy Director of Commercial Affairs Department at SEDD, said that organizing "Eid Exhibition" comes within the Department’s continuous economic support to encourage local investment as well as national projects and entrepreneurship in Sharjah, in accordance with the strategic objectives set. He stressed that the Department is working to empower citizens who own projects and SMEs, to achieve success in national entrepreneurship in the country.
Bin Saed Al Suwaidi explained that holding this exhibition and other marketing exhibitions is done to promote entrepreneurs products and services, help in marketing them, encourage them to join the market, achieve sustainability for their projects, and introduce them to the public. He added that this exhibition provides an opportunity for entrepreneurs, “Eitimad” and e-commerce licenses to experiment with promotion and sale, to support the national sector. Additionally, he stressed that small projects help to launch larger ones, and there are inspiring models in the exhibition for entrepreneurs who set their sights on developing their projects to become distinguished.
