Sharjah 24 – WAM: The United Arab Emirates participated in the first meeting of the Negev Forum Steering Committee hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain on 27th June, 2022, with the participation of other senior officials representing Bahrain, Egypt, Morocco, the United States, and the State of Israel.
The UAE delegation was headed by Abdul Rahman Al Neyadi, Acting Director of the Policy Planning Department at the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, who underscored the importance of promoting communication and establishing bridges in the region in a pursuit to ensure development and prosperity for the region’s peoples, including the Palestinian people. He also highlighted the significance of the Negev Forum in promoting the values of tolerance and peaceful coexistence among peoples.
The meeting was held to follow up on the outcomes of the Negev Summit convened last March. Furthermore, the forum is considered a paramount step in promoting dialogue, cooperation, and peace in the region.
