Sharjah24 - WAM: Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, has received Bogdan Aurescu, Foreign Minister of Romania, at his office in the ministry in Abu Dhabi.
The two officials discussed ways of boosting cooperation in various fields of mutual interest, including the distinguished bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.
They also discussed the latest regional and international developments and exchanged their points of view on them.
Sheikh Abdullah welcomed the visit of the Romanian Foreign Minister, highlighting the distinguished bilateral relationship between the UAE and Romania, which has promising opportunities for growth and development in all fields.
For his side, Minister Aurescu extended his condolences on the passing of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed, and wished the UAE further progress and prosperity under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
He underlined his country's keenness to boost prospects of joint cooperation with the UAE in various domains, hailing the leading position of the UAE regionally and internationally.
The meeting was attended by Mariam bint Mohammed Almheiri, Minister of Climate Change and the Environment.
