Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Sports Council (SSC) has launched the summer camp programme for clubs, "Our Holiday is Different", to invest the energies of the people of the emirate and support their culture during the summer vacation, from July 17 to August 11. Registration in the camp begins on June 25.

The launch of the programme came during a recent coordination meeting between the Sports and Community Events Department of the SSC headed by Yasser Omar Al Doukhi, in the presence of representatives of the cultural committees from 17 clubs in the emirate. 

Targeting age groups, 7-12 and 13-17 years old, the programme will feature sports activities in various games, sports commentary and hobbies such as photography and drawing, and electronic games in addition to awareness workshops. Culture, innovation and training courses to acquire skills and discover talents, in addition to organising joint competitions on a weekly basis are among the other activities of the programme.

Participants will be evaluated on all events and activities during the summer camp by a specialised committee.
