The ceremony took place during the visit of Hamad Salem bin Kardous Al Ameri, Director-General of Zayed CHF, to Senegal to lay the hospital's foundation stone, in the presence of Madior Diouf, Minister of State of Senegal.
The project, which is planned to be completed in two years and costs US$1.5 million, is part of the foundation's efforts to establish the charity and humanitarian projects abroad.
Upon its completion, it will be a distinguished addition that will help improve health services in Senegal.
The Zayed CHF delegation met with Macky Sall, President of Senegal, to convey the greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed CHF; and H.H. Sheikh Omar bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
During the meeting with Diouf, the delegation discussed their cooperation in the health sector and presented the details of the hospital.
Zayed CHF is continuing its humanitarian efforts in line with the UAE’s vision, by implementing sustainable development programmes and projects, Al Ameri said, noting that this approach reflects the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
