The delegation was led by Michael Rich, President and Chief Executive Officer, RAND Corporation, and included Ryan Crocker, Chair of CMEPP’s Advisory Board, Howard Berman, Former Chair of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, and Linda Robinson, Director of CMEPP and a senior policy researcher at the RAND Corporation.
The delegation’s members extended their condolences at the passing of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and congratulated the UAE’s leadership and people on the election of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
During the meeting, Dr. Gargash highlighted the UAE’s successful development and political experience, stressing the country’s keenness to continue its efforts to enhance its international political and economic stature, by strengthening its investment environment and promoting the values of humanitarian cooperation and coexistence.
He also addressed the UAE’s foreign policy, noting that it aims to promote a model based on cooperation and resolving political issues through diplomatic means.
The meeting also addressed the importance of the Abraham Accords to achieving peace in the region and discussed regional and international issues of mutual concern.
