Sharjah Ruler: Our cities are developing rapidly at all levels

Sharjah 24: His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, affirmed that the emirate's cities are improving at all levels, including healthy housing, paved roads and sanitation, to achieve the welfare of citizens, promising citizens, owners of housing requests that, during the coming months, each beneficiary will be informed of the location of his dwelling, specifications and date of receiving it.
His Highness said that the emirate’s cities are improving their services according to well-studied technical plans, and that all services will be provided successively to all areas, especially in Kalba, Khorfakkan and other cities and regions of the Emirate of Sharjah.

This came during an intervention His Highness made via the 'Direct Line' programme broadcast on Sharjah Radio and Television and hosted by Hassan Yaqoub Al Mansouri Secretary-General of the Sharjah Media Council.

His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah revealed that the sewage and road projects in the Wasit suburb are nearing completion, and work in Muwaileh, Al Rahmaniyah and Al Seyouh suburbs will follow gradually, then to all areas in the smiling emirate.

His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi said: "I get up at 3 AM every day to start following up on the affairs of the emirate and the needs of the citizens, and every day I go around all the regions and cities of the Emirate of Sharjah, and I know every bit about them, and I direct officials to not to neglect anything and to correct shortcomings immediately."

His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah touched on the 500 - housing – unit project in Kalba explaining in details the specifications of each unit and how it looks like adding that the layout of the house and the division of the land have been carefully studied to provide all services.

His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi pointed out that sewage projects require a huge budget of no less than 250 million dirhams for each project, and their implementation is necessary to complete the housing project, because implementation is carried out stage by stage, and infrastructure projects are implemented according to an integrated engineering sequence. 

His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah called on citizens to cooperate with the efforts of development and upgrading, which are gradually implemented in all regions and cities of the emirate, noting that development is taking place in the Emirate of Sharjah very quickly outshining any place in any country.

His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi praised Bee’ah’s efforts to clean and spray cities and clean sidewalks, as clean cities need huge budgets. His Highness urged citizens to cooperate with the efforts of upgrading, modernisation and development, housing programmes, roads and sewage, which are going successively in all regions.

His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, mentioned the Al Harrai project, which was early announced, and includes the construction of a residential complex in Al Harrai area in the city of Khorfakkan, comprising 434 housing units at a total cost of approximately 430 million dirhams, and a contractual period of two years; this is part of the vital and developmental projects that the Emirate of Sharjah is carrying out, which will support the people of Sharjah and provide them with a decent livelihood. The project is part of a series of projects previously directed by His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, within establishing 4,400 government housing, indicating that the area is completely ready and levelled, and the contractor can start immediately.

Speaking about his plans for Dibba, His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah confirmed that on the island of Dibba, a model was established with some observations, and buildings will be constructed on all this land equipped with all facilities, including a large mosque; expansion will be directed towards the sea, with changing the places of the fish market and others, and establishing a market similar to Souq Al Jubail in Sharjah, and changing the shape of the facade completely.

Speaking about the major development projects in Al Dhaid, His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah praised the major development projects in the city in particular, and within the central region in general, as these developments have many positive returns and benefits for the region and its citizens.

His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah concluded by advising citizens to have patience with their demands.
