Ramadan Nights 2022 begins at Expo Centre Sharjah

Sharjah24: The 'Ramadan Nights 2022' exhibition kicked off on Tuesday evening at the Expo Centre Sharjah, with thousands of visitors rushing to visit the perfect shopping, entertainment, culinary, and cultural destination, scheduled to operate for 15 days throughout the holy month of Ramadan.
Organized by the Expo Centre Sharjah with the support of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), the event brings with it big surprises and massive discounts of up 75% on a wide range of products amid a pleasant atmosphere.

Ramadan Nights is one of the biggest shopping exhibitions in the region and part of the larger Sharjah Ramadan Festival, showcasing over 200 leading retailers and 25 international brands.

The event, which is slated to run until 26th April, was inaugurated by His Excellency Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Expo Centre Sharjah, , HE Walid Abdul Rahman Bukhatir, Second Deputy Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber,  in the presence of members of the Board of Directors of the Chamber and Expo Centre, HE Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of the Expo Center Sharjah, Abdul Aziz Shattaf, Assistant Director-General for the Communications and Business Sector, Ibrahim Rashid Al Jarwan, General Coordinator of the festival, and HE Sultan Shattaf, Director of Sales and Marketing Department, Expo Center Sharjah.

The attendees toured the exhibition halls, where they met with some exhibitors who briefed them on the showcased products.

Ramadan Nights 2022 is also featuring a plethora of activities and events, including cultural, heritage, religious and health awareness programs, spanning over an area of 15,000 square meters.

A number of folk bands also visited the Heritage Village where as the folklore dance (Traditional Emirati 'Ayala' dance) performed by the " SHABAB AL HARBIA " band attracted a remarkable turnout of visitors. In addition, the exhibits of folk clothes, tools, handicrafts, incense, drinks and popular and Ramadan dishes attracted so many visitors who enjoyed beautiful heritage performances, participated in competitions and won prizes. Moreover, the children’s corner offered a large number of fun games for children that were carefully selected with safety measures in mind.

"As one of the Chamber's vital organisations, we are eager to support and empower the Expo Centre Sharjah to host major events and activities and strengthen Sharjah's position as a leading city in the exhibitions industry," said Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, adding "Ramadan Nights plays a crucial part in achieving the goals of the Sharjah Ramadan Festival, which aims to revitalise the commercial and tourist movement across the emirate and spread joy and happiness among Sharjah population throughout Ramadan."

"The Ramadan Nights exhibition has become a stand-alone season and one of Sharjah's major shopping destinations due to its unparalleled ambiance and amazing offers," said Saif Al Midfa.

He added, "With this year's new exhibitors and activities, Ramadan Nights is unquestionably the best destination for families and individuals looking to spend their Ramadan evenings shopping. The event is also jam-packed with fun activities for everyone in order to cement Sharjah's position as the top family shopping and tourism destination."

Sultan Shattaf said that Ramadan Nights 2022 brings with it interesting surprises, such as the chance to win a luxury Suzuki Jimny, as well as other valuable prizes in various raffle draws held throughout the exhibition. Visitors and shoppers must spend a minimum of AED 200 to be eligible for the draw, which also includes the opportunity to win purchase vouchers and gifts through different contests.

For his part, Ibrahim Al Jarwan stressed that the "Ramadan Nights" exhibition is one of the most important activities that falls under the umbrella of  the "Sharjah Ramadan Festival", which is organized by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry in order to stimulate the economic and commercial activity in the emirate, support the business community and encourage owners of small and medium enterprises to enter the markets and display their products, adding that the event also featured a host of religious, cultural and social activities that foster the spiritual aspect of the holy month.

Ramadan Nights opens its doors to visitors from 5:00 pm until 1:00 am throughout the holy month.
