Mohamed bin Zayed receives Albanian PM

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces
Sharjah 24 – WAM: His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received Edi Rama, Prime Minister of Albania, who is on a working visit to the UAE to attend his country's National Day celebrations at Expo 2020 Dubai.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed welcomed Rama and expressed the hope that the visit would contribute towards advancing joint, effective cooperation and action in various fields.

The meeting, which took place at Al Shati Palace, discussed strengthening ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries across vital economic, investment and developmental sectors.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed and the Albanian Prime Minister also exchanged views on the latest developments on the regional and international arenas of common interest.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed stressed the UAE's keenness to expand the base of its cooperation with friendly countries, which is based on the principles of mutual trust and respect and joint cooperation, expressing his happiness at the level of relations with the Republic of Albania.

The Albanian Prime Minister expressed his happiness at visiting the UAE and meeting His Highness Sheikh Mohamed, expressing his thanks for the reception and the generous hospitality. He valued the continuous support provided by the UAE to his country, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The meeting was attended by Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Mohamed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor for Special Affairs at the Ministry of Presidential Affairs, Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Minister of Culture and Youth, and Sulaiman Al Mazrouei, the UAE Non-resident Ambassador to Albania.

Attending from the Albanian side were Olta Xhaçka, Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs, Bledar Çuçi, Minister of Internal Affairs, Delina Ibrahimaj, Minister of Finance and Economy, Belinda Balluku, Minister of Infrastructure and Energy,Elva Margariti, Minister of Culture, and Ermal Dredha, ambassador of Albania to the UAE.
