Sharjah24 - WAM: Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, visited today the 5th edition of the unmanned systems exhibition (UMEX) and simulation and training (SimTex 2022) hosted by the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC). The event is organised by Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company in cooperation with the Ministry of Defence.
Sheikh Saif toured during his visit a number of national, regional and international pavilions participating in the two exhibitions. He was briefed on the latest innovations, current and future technologies and advanced solutions in the field of unmanned systems industries, simulation, training, AI, global technologies and advanced solutions addressing security challenges. He also viewed models of robots and systems deployed in the areas of defence and security enhancement.
Sheikh Saif’s visit included the pavilions of Edge, Ahmed Al Mazrouei Industries, LIG, General Automax, SAP, CYNEX as well as IGG. He was briefed by officials of pavilions on the industries they offer in the fields of drones, and vehicles supporting their field operations, virtual training systems, live shooting, continuous security surveillance aircraft, and other technologies in areas of unmanned systems.
