Sharjah24 - WAM: Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, the Unmanned Systems Exhibition (UMEX) and the Simulation Training (SimTEX) Conference is set to kick off tomorrow morning, bringing together elite experts and specialists from around the world to the ADNOC Business Centre physically and virtually.
The conference will convene some of the top experts, decision-makers, academia and government officials, from the unmanned systems sector and will discuss four main topics. "Understanding the Changing Unmanned Landscape; Facilitating Trust and Understanding: Human-Machine Teaming and Decision-Making in the Unmanned Age; Optimising Innovation: Overcoming Adoption and Integration Challenges; and Unmanned Systems and the 4IR: How Technology is Shaping Future Capabilities."
The event will see large-scale international participation, as it will feature 22 speakers and will host 500 participants who will be present in person at the ADNOC Business Centre, while around 1,500 people are expected to attend the conference virtually. This shows the UAE’s standing as a unique international destination for hosting conferences on unmanned systems and simulation and training systems.
The conference will take place prior to UMEX and SimTEX 2022, which will be held on February 21-23, organised by the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) in cooperation with the Ministry of Defence, focusing on the theme of the "Unmanned, Unbound: Realising the Promise of The Unmanned Revolution".
The previous edition of UMEX and SimTEX exhibitions and conference held in 2020 witnessed a very high turnout, with considerable local and international participation by exhibitors, visitors and media.
