Sharjah24 – Reuters: Seventy restored cars produced in the former Soviet Union and communist bloc were on display in a museum in the Bulgarian city of Varna, in a permanent exhibition which also showcased Soviet memorabilia and waxworks.
'Retro Museum' owner Tsvetan Atanasov says he started out with an old Russian Lada 20 years ago and worked on its restoration on weekends. He went on to open the museum in 2015 after restoring dozens of cars.

It was the foundation of his collection, which also included a carpet with an image of Russian revolutionary leader Vladimir Lenin and waxworks of leaders from the time, as well as some newer additions such as former U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Visitors to the museum said it reminded them of childhood memories. Turkish tourist Nesmetin said he had been born in Bulgaria in the closing years of the communist period and recognised cars he had seen driving on the streets.
