SBA broadcasts activities of Xposure to its audience worldwide

The festival is organised by the Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB), during the period from 9 to 15 February, SBA is participating through a special pavilion that includes television and radio studios, it transmit to the public, in audio and video, live and comprehensive media coverage of the festival's activities and its guests from different countries of the world.

The SBA’s participation comes within the framework of its constant endeavour for media interaction and transmission of the various festivals and events hosted by the Emirate of Sharjah, to inform the audience who follow its stations and channels with the most prominent cultural and artistic events in the Emirate. 

Through its coverage of the festival, it presented the message adopted by Xposure 2022, which aims to spread awareness of protecting the oceans and the marine environment from pollution, by following the discussions and dialogues of experts at the environmental summit accompanying the festival, and by conducting meetings with artists participating in photo exhibitions.

The Sharjah Channel will broadcast the opening of the festival, in a live broadcast at 10:30 AM of 9 February, and continues to cover the festival activities from the authority’s pavilion through the daily social programme “Sharjah Morning,” which is broadcast from 10 AM except for Friday. In addition to daily coverage on the "Amassi" programme, through which Sharjah TV continues to broadcast the festival in the evening.

Through the two programmes, the channel continues to cover the festival’s activities, seminars and workshops accompanying it, and share with the public renewed dialogues with senior photographers, influencers, explorers and scientists participating in the Environmental Summit. The two programmes’ camera tours in the corridors of the festival will also highlight individual and group exhibitions, and present glimpses of the photographers’ projects and their interests and experiences in developing the art of photography.

Sharjah Radio is preparing to cover Xposure 2022 in its new edition through the “Photo Story” programme, which will be broadcast daily during the evening period from 5 to 6 PM. The radio will provide listeners with special reports on the daily activities of the festival and its discussion sessions, as well as highlighting the position of Sharjah as a hub for the largest international artistic and cultural events. The programme broadcasts a series of meetings, during which it hosts, during the days of the festival, a group of officials, guests and the most important international photographers participating in the festival.

The English-speaking radio "Plus 95" participates in covering the festival with a live broadcast through its daily programme "Plus 95 Live Broadcast from Xposure", which is broadcast daily to keep pace with the festival from 12 to 1 PM.  Two guest photographers will participate in presenting the programme, in which the audience will be on a date with photographers Mike Browne and David Newton, and their fellow photographers at Xposure.

Through the programme, the radio reviews the festival’s agenda of events, seminars and workshops, and highlights in dialogues with international photographers and participating guests the issue of protecting oceans and seas from pollution, protecting animals from overfishing and the repercussions of the increasing destruction of the forest environment. In addition to the resulting rise in dangers of the extinction of many rare animal species, which is the focus of some of the exhibitions of photographers participating in this edition of the festival.

For this reason, the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority is keen to follow up on its activities and expand the presence of its message at the local, Arab and international levels through live and direct coverage and follow-ups from the event grounds, celebrating the Emirate’s distinguished guests of photographers and creators.”
