Workers were readying the field for a face-off between the Los Angeles Rams and the Cincinnati Bengals on February 13.
It will be the Rams' second Super Bowl appearance in four seasons when they face the Cincinnati Bengals.
The long-suffering Bengals, who before this year had not won a playoff game since 1991, are one of 12 teams that have never won a Super Bowl and have been revived by the inspired performances of second-year quarterback Joe Burrow.
Fans attending the NFL's championship game will be required to wear a mask, show proof of vaccination or a recent negative test, but there will be no capacity restrictions at the 70,240-seat venue in Inglewood.
