Sharjah24: The final stage of the Sharjah Local Cycling Tour (SLCT) for youth began in Khor Fakkan city's Shees neighborhood in the presence of Abdulmalik Jani, Chairman of the Tour Organizing Committee, Mohammed Khamis Al Naqbi, Deputy Governor of Khorfakkan's Shees Region, and a number of sports leaders.
"We are thrilled with the completion of the SLCT for the young from the Shees area, which will continue through the Rafisah Dam to the Sharjah National Park," Al Naqbi said to Sharjah 24.
"The International Cycling Tour is a significant event that promotes the Emirate of Sharjah's tourism potential, as it passes through the most notable tourist attractions, highlighting the Emirate's achievements as well as its diversity of scenic environment," he said.
Al Naqbi, stated that Sharjah has evolved into a major sporting event hub, praising the efforts of the organizing committee for the Sharjah International Cycling Tour, which is in its seventh edition to commemorate His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah assuming the emirate's leadership.
