Sharjah 24: On the occasion of the International Day of the Arabic Language, the Arab Cultural Club (ACC) in Sharjah hosted a soiree and literary symposium on Thursday featuring poets Jaber Al Khalsan, Akram Qunbus, and Amira Tawhid, as well as an intervention by Dr. Ahmed Aqili on the Arabic language's aesthetics and genius.
The event was moderated by poet Muhammad Idris, who praised the worldwide and local efforts to enhance the awareness of Arabic, one of the world's most significant living languages.

Dr Ahmed Aqili, a professor of contemporary literature and literary criticism, focused his contribution on two dimensions: the first was the Arabic language's persistence and continuity from the pre-Islamic era to the current day, and the second was the Arabic language's aesthetics.

Jaber Al Khalsan, an Emirati poet, performed three poems about the beauty and qualities of the Arabic language.

The poet Akram Qunbus performed a long poem extolling the virtues and genius of the Arabic language.
