Sharjah24: The Sharjah Sports Council (SSC) concluded the activities of Khorfakkan Mountain Challenge. The champions of its third edition were honoured in the participation of nearly 300 participants of both genders, in the presence of Salem Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Khorfakkan Sports and Cultural Club, and Yasser Omar Al Doukhi, Director of Sports and Community Activities Department and Muhammad Ali bin Hammad, Director of Government Communications Department.
The race took place in the archaeological Burj Al-Rabi track, witnessed an exciting competition between the contestants, and positively revived the occasion of the International Mountain Day, in which 300 male and female players of different nationalities participated in the event.
On this occasion, Yasser Omar Al-Doukhi stated that the challenge achieved the desired goals, and came as an extension of the distinguished community sports activities organised by the council this year, emphasising the value and status of sport in the emirate, especially as it coincided with the International Mountain Day.
Al-Doukhi praised the excellence of the event in its third edition after adding the fun race, as a result of the great turnout in this challenge.
