Sharjah 24: His Excellency Dr. Issa Al Hammadi, Chairman of Arabic Language Educational Centre for Gulf States (ALECGS) in Sharjah an affiliate of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States received His Excellency Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Muhammed Al Assimi, Director General of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States, Wednesday morning, at the Centre’s headquarters in the University City of Sharjah.
During his visit to ALECGS facilities, His Excellency the Director General visited the centre’s library specialised in the field of Arabic curricula and methods of teaching the Arabic language, the available electronic systems of indexing and borrowing, and protection systems.

His Excellency Al Assimi also visited the permanent exhibition of the Arabic language, which includes display panels, electronic screens, and specialised shelves including information on language and literature, the most famous books, poetic commentaries, and linguistic academies in the Arab world, in addition to the most famous language, history and literature scholars and others.

His Excellency Al Assimi toured the training halls and the theatre, and attended a presentation on the Centre’s achievements including studies, researches, programmes, conferences, training courses and all activities concluded during the current and precious sessions.

His Excellency Al Assimi addressed Dr. Issa Al Hammadi, expressing his happiness with the visit to ALECGS and the achievements made by the office in a very short period of time.

In his speech, His Excellency Al Assimi also extended his thanks and gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for his generous sponsorship of the centre since the beginning becoming a regional centre.
