Sharjah24: His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and President of the American University of Sharjah, approved on September 21, AED 100 million as a budget for scientific research at the American University for the academic year 2021-2022.
This came during His Highness' meeting with Dr. Susan Mumm, AUS Chancellor, in his office at AUS, in the presence of a number of members of the University's Board of Trustees and Vice Chancellors. 

At the outset of the meeting, His Highness welcomed Dr. Susan Mumm in the Emirate of Sharjah, the city which pays great attention to science and culture through its institutions and universities, and at the American University, which has become a prestigious educational and academic institution.
His Highness extended his sincere thanks to Dr. Kevin Mitchell for his unwavering efforts during his tenure at the university that contributed to pushing the wheel of progress and achievement and continuing harvesting fruitful accomplishments.

His Highness highlighted the importance of scientific research setting as a main goal of the university to encourage its students to innovate and conduct research that contributes to serving humanity.
During the meeting, strategic plans that the university is working on through its teaching and administrative staff, modern facilities and laboratories, and research institutes were addressed, In addition to attracting distinguished students from all over the world.

For her part, Dr. Susan Mumm expressed her gratitude for the confidence placed in her in the management of the university, praising the great scientific level and the prestigious position that the university achieved under the directives and vision of His Highness.
