Sharjah 24: The long-awaited match between Sharjah club team and its guest Al Wahda will take place tomorrow, Tuesday, at 9 p.m., in the round of 16 of the 2021 AFC Champions League (ACL), with the winning team advancing to the quarter-finals.
The anticipated match between Sharjah and Al Wahda is the first between the two teams at the continental level, and the third in the history of Emirati clubs confrontations in the Asian Champions qualifying playoffs, following matches between Al Ain and Al Jazira in the 2014 edition, and Al Ahly and Al Ain in 2015.

After competing for the first time in 2004, the Sharjah team advanced to the quarter-final stage for the second time. It now has 11 points, ahead of Tractor Sazi Tabriz (Iran), Pakhtakor (Uzbekistan), and Air Force Team (Iraq) in the second group standings. With three victories, two ties, and one loss.

Al Wahda, on the other hand, qualified for the round of 16 in the current edition of the Asian Champions for the fourth time in its history, after finishing second in the fifth group, which includes Persepolis (Iran). Goa (India), Al-Rayyan (Qatar), and Al-Wahda (Qatar). Al Wahda scored 13 points from six matches, winning four, drawing one, and losing one.
