Sharjah24 – Reuters: More than 10,000 flat solar panels have been installed in Manaus by Bemol Solar plants to serve around a thousand homes in the region.
Energy generated by these solar panels avoids the emission on average of 672 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere, saving 27 thousand trees per year. Additionally, the project promises to generate an average annual saving of 10% in the energy bill for those who take part in the initiative.
Residents are able to rent solar panels from Bemol Solar plants for a fixed monthly amount, paid for using a Bemol Card. Energy generated by the panels help them to save and does not involve home installation or the purchase of any equipment.
Bemol is a retail group born in Manaus and is present in the states of Amazonas, Rondônia, Roraima and Acre.
