Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Department of Economic Development (SEDD) hosted last Thursday, one of the Emirati women entrepreneurs in a seminar on the occasion of Emirati Women’s Day in cooperation with the Sharjah Business Women Council.
The seminar is one of several initiatives that have been put in place in support of the national strategy for women's empowerment and leadership.
During the seminar, the participants discussed the lessons learned from one of the Emirate's successful entrepreneurial projects, with the goal of encouraging the spirit of entrepreneurship and motivating the future generation of businesswomen.
Sultan Abdullah Bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, Chairman of Sharjah Economic Development Department, said Emirati Women's Day is an important national occasion to recognise Emirati women's achievements and realise their pivotal role and contribution to the nation's progress, acknowledging the wise leadership's support for Emirati women, which has brought them success.
“Today is Emirati Women's Day, which is celebrated every year on August 28th, and it is a day of special significance in the lives of all Emirati women since it reflects support for women's rational leadership and empowerment." Said Abdulaziz Omar Al Midfa, Deputy Director of the Governmental Communications Department at SEDD.
