Sharjah 24: His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, acknowledged that there are over 12,000 job applicants in Sharjah, and that Sharjah government will not turn anyone away, even if they do not satisfy the criteria of employment.
His Highness added “We raised salaries to Dh25,000 after conducting studies with Sharjah Social Services Department. I was watching all the expenditures and details of individuals and families to see which salary would grant them a decent life. We will perform a new study if living expenses rise.”

"If the situation becomes detrimental to low-income people, I will not leave them.” His Highness continued.

"We have ordered the formation of an Employment Processing Committee, which will work under my supervision," His Highness explained. "It will be mainly formed of Sharjah government statistics, social services, and human resources departments. Its mission is to study employment requests and find solutions to everyone who has an employment problem.”
