Sharjah24: The Committee on Education, Youth, Culture and Media Affairs of Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC), during hosting the Sharjah Sports Council at the headquarters of the Consultative Council, on Tuesday, discussed a number of topics aimed at developing the clubs work system.
This came as part of the committee work for the second ordinary session of the tenth legislative session, after finished visiting 19th sports and specialised clubs in the Emirate of Sharjah.
The meeting was opened by the Chairman of the Committee, His Excellency Dr. Hamid Jassim Al Suwaiji Al Zaabi, by welcoming the Sharjah Sports Council as well as the members of the Committee, and he indicated that SCC, represented by the Education, Culture, Media and Youth Affairs Committee, visited 19th clubs in the Emirate of Sharjah, including sports and specialised clubs.
Then His Excellency Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, delivered a speech in which the Sharjah Sports Council expressed its presence in SCC for role integration and harmony for the future of the Emirate of Sharjah sports under the visions and directions of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah in the field of sports.
Al Hazami stressed that the Sharjah Sports Council team is keen to attend in its entirety in order to participate with the SCC and its committee concerned with sports in discussions about the most important topics aimed at highlighting the reality and challenges in the work of the clubs.
During the meeting, they discussed the general situation of the clubs and the perceptions and ways to develop them and keep pace with everything new on the local and international arena, as the discussion extended and branched out.
The Sharjah Sports Council reviewed its strategic plan and features of its work during the next ten years and its commitment to spreading sports, cultural and societal awareness, training sports leaders, community participation, its bodies, institutions and individuals, and communication with various media outlets.
