Sharjah 24: Sharjah Sports Council (SSC) discussed the organisational framework for managing sports media with media officials at Sharjah Women Sports Foundation (SWSF) in order to empower SSC’s objectives and unify efforts with regard to the use of various media tools for the benefit of clubs, audiences and those following sporting events.
This came during the workshop organised by SSC and managed by the Media and Digital Transformation Committee, on Tuesday, at Sharjah Cultural Chess Club.
The event witnessed the presence of His Excellency Eng. Adel Saleh Al Hammadi, Member of the Board of Directors, Chairman of the Media and Digital Transformation Committee, Fatima Ahmed Saleh, Head of the Media and Public Relations Department, Amal Saleh Al Aidarous, Head of Marketing and Corporate Identity Department, and a number of officials from sports media in SSC and SWSF.
His Excellency Engineer Adel Saleh indicated that this workshop represents part of the committee’s plans to enhance the media role in the field of sports and promote it in line with the continuous support of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and directives of the wife of His Highness, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, with regard to the advancement of women Sports, and the follow-up of Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Sharjah Crown Prince, Deputy Ruler, and Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council (SEC), and Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Deputy Chairman of SEC.
His Excellency the Engineer thanked SWSF represented by Her Excellency Nada Askar Al Naqbi, Director General of SWSF for constructive communication in the advancement of women’s sport in all aspects related to sports, which form the basis for the success of any work and sporting event, the most important of which is the media aspect.
His Excellency also extended thanks and appreciation for the efforts of His Excellency Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of SSC, for the valuable guidance in promoting sports institutions to the highest levels.
His Excellency thanked the participants from SWSF in the workshop and for the efforts of SSC and the Media and Digital Transformation Committee and its outputs of recommendations that contribute significantly to the work in the development of sports media for sports in general and women in particular.
