Sharjah 24 – KUNA: Jordanian Health Minister Dr. Natheer Obaidat announced his resignation Saturday after six patients died when oxygen supplies were cut off the intensive care units at a government hospital west of Amman.
Obaidat, speaking to reporters from Al-Salt Hospital, said he took "moral responsibility" for the passing away of the six persons after oxygen supply was cut off for an hour on the ICU in the hospital.

He said a team from the public prosecution was investigating the matter.

Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh, who told Obaidat to resign, said those responsible would be held accountable.
