Sharjah24: The karate team of the Sharjah Women's Sports Club achieved one golden medal and 5 colored medals in the UAE Open Karate Championship, at the Sharjah Club in Al Hazana, witnessing great participation among women and men.

These medals are the first tournaments in 2021after resuming sport activities due to Covid-19 pandemic. 

The competitions took place amidst strict precautionary measures and were attended by a large number of officials, led by Major General Nasser Abdul Razzaq Al-Razooqi, Chairman of the UAE and Asian Federations, First Vice President of the International Karate Federation.

For her part, Mai Al Amiri, the Karate Team Administrator at the Sharjah Women's Sports Club, praised the level of club's players, affirming the players' desire to achieve medals and harvest titles again after a long period of absence due to Covid-19 pandemic.
