Sharjah Ruler inspects Kshisha and Shaghrafa Parks

Sharjah 24: His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, on Thursday, inspected Kshisha and Shaghrafa Parks located at Al Rahmaniyah Area in Sharjah.
His Highness listened to an explanation from Engineer Ali bin Shaheen Al Suwaidi, Chairman of Sharjah Department of Public Works (SDPW), about the projects facilities and the educational, entertainment, social and sports services that serve the people of the area.



His Highness began the visit by inspecting the project of Kshisha Park, which includes cultural forum, social forum, outdoor playgrounds, outdoor fitness equipment area, a lake and a jogging track, along with areas for games and skating, children’s theatre, and 55 outdoor sites allocated for visitors.

His Highness also visited Shaghrafa Park, which is designed for women, inspecting its facilities. The park includes 41 outdoor sites, 3 playgrounds, a social and cultural forum, areas for games, a theatre, a running track, and areas for fitness equipment.



His Highness made a number of remarks, directing the projects managers to make a number of adjustments in order to provide more comfort for visitors.

The area of each of Kshisha and Shaghrafa Parks reach 147 thousand and 700 square metres, with four entrances and various number of trees that add special aesthetics to the parks.


Within the framework of SDPW’s endeavour to provide the best facilities and services, 416 parking lots are provided for each park.

His Highness was accompanied during the visit by Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, Marwan bin Jassim Al Sarkal, Executive Chairman of Shurooq, and a number of officials and engineers of the projects.
