The two awards are the Leading Government Entity Award in Financial Performance and the Outstanding Financial Manager Award, which was won by Mrs. Amani Al Mahyan, Director of Financial Affairs Department in the Directorate, as part of the Sharjah Central Finance Department’s award for government financial excellence in its fourth year, which is one of the highest awards for institutional and individual excellence in public finance, financial planning, and the management of procurement and tendering processes at the local, federal, regional and global levels.
This came during a ceremony honouring the award winners, which was organised by the Central Finance Department on Monday morning at the Theater of the Police Sciences Academy in Sharjah, in the presence of Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Department of Finance, and His Excellency Eng. Khalid bin Butti Al Muhairi, Member of the Executive Council, Chairman of the Sharjah Directorate of Town Planning and Survey and a number of dignitaries, heads, directors and representatives of the award winning entities in its fourth edition.
Eng. Khalid bin Butti Al Muhairi has lauded the department’s winning of two awards at the individual and institutional levels as part of the Sharjah Central Finance Department’s Government Financial Excellence Award, stressing that it reflects the department’s commitment in providing excellent financial services, through a qualified and creative work team capable of leading development, innovation and competition processes in the government financial sector in the Emirate of Sharjah.
Commenting on this, His Excellency valued the efforts of Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Central Department of Finance, in promoting the concept of competitiveness among government agencies in order to stimulate development and innovation processes in the financial sector, and its endeavor to improve financial services in all government and independent agencies to providing innovative financial services, and to spread the culture of excellence in financial services and accounting procedures in the Government of Sharjah.
His Excellency also sent a letter of thanks and appreciation to the award's team at the Department of Planning and Survey.
