Sharjah 24: “Sharjah 24” paid a visit to the Gabonese Pavilion at EXPO 2020 Dubai and had the opportunity to interview Gina Leboungou Nzengue, Director Gabon Pavilion, who shared some fascinating facts about Gabon.
She said that the French-speaking country in Central Africa and a part of the Congo Basin, Gabon is the planet's second lung after Amazonia. She also explained that 80% of Gabon’s territory is covered by forests.

"When people visit The Gabonese Pavilion, they will be able to see how tropical, dense, and humid Africa looks," she explained, adding that "the pavilion actually brings forests, Gabonese forests with it, and then they will enter and find the tourism area, which is dedicated to all of the government's efforts to bring the country into development." Visitors will learn more about Gabon's highways, the investment industry, power generation, and all of the country's deployment."

After their visit to the tourism area, visitors will proceed to the panels area, where they may learn about the national parks and see animals such as forest elephants.

At the conclusion of their tour of the pavilion, guests will visit the shop, where they may purchase gifts or souvenirs from Gabon.
