Sharjah24: The Sharjah Volunteer Center of Sharjah Social Services the Department (SSSD) implemented 33 different field and virtual volunteer opportunities that were offered by 8 government agencies during the holy month of Ramadan through the volunteer platform of the center, which attracted about 359 volunteers at the level of the Emirate of Sharjah, for 13,756 volunteer hours.

Hessa Al Hammadi, Director of the Community Cohesion Department, stated that the volunteer opportunities that were implemented during the blessed month of Ramadan are varied, including the humanitarian, community, health, and religious fields, among others, noting that this number of volunteers who participated in the various programmes reflects the level of community awareness of the importance of volunteering during the pandemic period .

The center seeks to continue its strategic partnership with various governmental and private institutions and agencies that offer volunteer opportunities, and the center also seeks to spread the culture of volunteer work at the level of society and its institutions.
