He stated that the Lab is supported by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and houses studios, Laser and 3D printing, artworks, iron and wood works, as well as industrial design.
In an exclusive statement to “Sharjah 24”, Al Mahmoudi added that the Lab is run by a professional team that has experience in manufacturing, design and dealing with various technologies, hoping that companies and entrepreneurs will develop their designs and products through this lab, and aspiring to develop national cadres.
Al Mahmoudi affirmed that the Sharjah Open Innovation Lab will play a major role in promoting the position of the Emirate of Sharjah as a destination for industrial design and innovation, adding that the laboratory has great potential and is the largest 3D printing laboratory in the region.
