Sharjah 24: The "Sharjah 24" lens monitored the return of life to tourist destinations and the new Corniche of Khorfakkan and its parks, after the end of the National Disinfection Programme, and the return of public free movement according to strict requirements and preventive measures.
Khorfakkan is witnessing a gradual return to the tourist movement in various destinations, after the decisions of the Sharjah government to activate the various sectors according to a time plan that includes several stages.
During its field tour, "Sharjah 24" lens recorded a remarkable demand for various tourist destinations in the city and public parks.
New Khorfakkan Beach
The new Khorfakkan beach of the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) is one of the most popular destinations for visitors from inside and outside the city, for hiking, jogging and cycling.
With world-class services and entertainment facilities, such as restaurants and cafeterias, Shurooq is keen to take strict precautionary and preventive measures to preserve the health and safety of both visitors and workers in the beach facilities.
The recreational play areas designated for children are still closed along the beach until further notice, amid the beach administration adherence to health requirements.
Gardens and parks
The Khorfakkan Municipality allowed the public to visit various public parks and neighbourhood parks except for the “Al Mutlaa” Park, which is subject to maintenance and development works.
Al Rufaisa Dam Rest house and Khorfakkan Square
Al Rufaisa Dam Rest house on the new Khorfakkan Road has splendid facilities and a picturesque nature enhanced by the dam lake, which is surrounded by mountains.
Khorfakkan Square, with its 4 lagoons, glowing fountains, and vast green spaces, is one of the family's favourite areas for relaxing and playing sports close to many distinctive landmarks.
