Sharjah 24: The Kalba City Municipality has opened 6 public and neighborhood parks for the public again, in implementation of the gradual activation plan for the various sectors in the Emirate of Sharjah and its cities, with the necessary of taking all the precautionary measures.
Aisha Muhammad Yusef, head of the parks department in the Municipality of Kalba, confirmed the necessity of taking all preventive measures, coinciding with opening the public parks.
In an exclusive statement to “Sharjah 24”, she stressed that Kalba Municipality has opened the 6 parks, in line with the implementation of the leadership’s directives and decisions in Sharjah to reopen public and neighborhood parks to the public.
She has further indicated that the parks will open their doors to the public from 6 am to 11 am, and evening 4 pm to 9 pm.
Commenting on this, she noted that all age groups are welcomed to visit the parks, with a 50% of its capacity. She continued that children under the age of 12, and the elderly who are over the age of 60, will not be allowed to enter the parks until further notice.
She stressed the necessity of adhering to the preventive instructions and measures while visiting the parks, highlighting the importance of wearing masks, making sure to use hand sanitizers frequently, practicing social or physical distancing, and not contacting as much as possible.
In conclusion, she explained that walking, jogging and sessions are available within the parks, while recreational and sports areas in all parks are closed at the present time.
