SDPW completes Al Qasimia University student accommodation

Sharjah24: In implementation of the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah and his interest in education, and his keenness to create higher educational edifices that provide the appropriate environment, Sharjah Directorate of Public Works (SDPW) has completed the works of the third phase of the new accommodation for students on the university campus of Al Qasimia University, which has reached its cost to approximately 34 million dirhams.
His Excellency Engineer Ali bin Shaheen Al Suwaidi, Chairman of SDPW, pointed out that the project included the construction of a two-storey building on an area of 10,000 square meters, built in the Islamic architectural style. Al Suwaidi said that the project aims to provide a modern residential environment for students in accordance with the latest international standards compatible with the comprehensive growth achieved by the emirate in various fields, including the education sector. Alia Al Rand, Director of Buildings Projects Department, explained that the department has completed the third stage of Al Qasimia University student housing project, and the ground floor area is 3,080 square meters, and the same is the first floor, and the building combines Islamic style and modern engineering with the highest specifications, to form with the neighboring buildings Al Qasimia University has an architectural matrix that reflects the artistic taste. Dr. Rashad Salem, Director of Al Qasimia University (AQU), valued the unlimited support of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, President of Al Qasimia University, for knowledge, education and providing an appropriate environment for students for the knowledge.
