The visit included a field tour of the various sections of Souq Al Jubail – Kalba, during which the delegation explored the market’s facilities and the range of services provided to visitors, shoppers and shop owners. The delegation also learned about the mechanisms adopted to manage daily operations, ensuring smooth movement throughout the market and providing customers with an integrated experience under one roof.
The visit forms part of efforts to strengthen cooperation and knowledge exchange among government entities in the Emirate of Sharjah, enabling the sharing of expertise and practical knowledge in market management and supporting the ongoing development of services and facilities in line with community needs.
Hilal Al Naqbi, Senior Manager – Eastern Region Markets, said that such visits provide an important opportunity to strengthen cooperation and exchange expertise among government entities, while gaining insights into operational practices and the services provided to the public. He noted that these efforts contribute to developing services and facilities and enhancing the overall customer experience.
Al Naqbi highlighted that Souq Al Jubail – Kalba serves as an integrated destination for fresh food products and related services, reaffirming the market’s commitment to continuously developing its services and facilities to meet customers’ needs and enhance their experience.

Souq Al Jubail – Kalba comprises three main sections dedicated to fish, meat, and fruits and vegetables. The market also features a central courtyard and an indoor auction area for displaying and selling fresh seafood. Its facilities include an ice factory, refrigerated storage facilities, designated fish-grilling areas, and a range of service facilities that contribute to providing visitors with an integrated shopping experience.
