During the meeting,  His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan praised the former Chancellor’s significant contribution to advancing UAE-Germany relations during her tenure, noting her role in strengthening bilateral cooperation and broadening economic ties. His Highness also wished her continued health and happiness.

Her Excellency Angela Merkel expressed her appreciation to His Highness the President and wished the UAE and its people further progress and prosperity. She also expressed her hopes for the continued growth and development of relations between the two countries.

The meeting was attended by His Excellency Dr Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology.
