Sharjah 24 – Reuters: Fiorentina dismissed manager Fabio Grosso on Sunday following a dismal start to the Serie A campaign marked by three consecutive defeats, leaving the club at the bottom of the league table.

The team suffered a 4-0 loss to AS Roma, a 3-0 home defeat against Frosinone, and a 2-1 reverse against Torino, resulting in a bleak goal difference of one scored and nine conceded ahead of their upcoming fixture away to Venezia on Friday.

The 48-year-old former Italy defender spent less than three months in charge after replacing Paolo Vanoli in June on a two-year contract. Grosso, famous for scoring the winning penalty in the 2006 World Cup final, arrived following a successful stint at Sassuolo, but struggled to establish momentum during his brief tenure at the Florentine club.
