The activities were organised as part of the Sports Affairs and Development Department's August annual programme, aimed at developing players' skills and performance, maintaining activity alongside official competitions, providing competitive experience, and discovering emerging talent.
The participants represented nine clubs: Sharjah, Al Bataeh, Al Hamriyah, Al Madam, Dibba Al Hisn, Khorfakkan, Mleiha, Al Dhaid and Kalba.
At Al Dhaid Club, a development festival for the younger age category drew 41 players from Al Dhaid, Kalba, Khorfakkan and Dibba Al Hisn. The programme featured 3x3 matches to develop fundamental basketball skills.
Al Madam Club hosted preparatory 4x4 matches featuring 61 players from Al Madam, Sharjah, Al Bataeh, Mleiha and Al Hamriyah. The format was designed to provide greater opportunities for participation while using a playing style suited to their age group.
At Khorfakkan Club, 46 players from Khorfakkan, Al Dhaid, Kalba and Dibba Al Hisn participated in 5x5 matches, allowing them to apply the skills developed during training.
Meanwhile, Sharjah Club hosted a junior training gathering featuring 55 players from Sharjah, Al Bataeh, Al Hamriyah, Khorfakkan and Mleiha, who competed in 5x5 matches.
