Sharjah 24 – Reuters: South Korean conglomerates and global technology companies, including Nvidia, have agreed to pursue cooperation projects worth a combined $950 billion to advance artificial intelligence and semiconductor industries.

The agreements include a long-term plan for SK Group to supply $750 billion worth of high-performance semiconductors to global technology firms, along with joint investments in large-scale AI data centres with a planned capacity of 5 gigawatts and 2 million GPUs.

High-level San Francisco Summit

The agreements were reached during a high-level meeting in San Francisco attended by leaders from major South Korean companies and global technology firms, including Sam Altman and Jensen Huang.

Global infrastructure expansion and strategic vision

South Korea’s Naver also announced plans to establish global AI factories worth $10 billion through partnerships with Nvidia and Brookfield Corporation. President Lee Jae Myung said South Korea aims to become a key global hub for AI semiconductor production and supply chains.
