The announcement was made during an Agentic AI workshop organised by the Presidential Court and the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs in Dubai, attended by 600 employees from both organisations.
Al Gergawi described the initiative as a strategic milestone that will redesign government operations, enhance productivity, improve service delivery, and strengthen decision-making, while reinforcing the UAE’s position as a global leader in advanced technology.
He also launched the “Top 3 AI Agents Award” within the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs to encourage innovation and recognise AI applications that deliver measurable impact across government functions.
During the workshop, Haitham Al Rais, Secretary-General of the National Committee for the Agentic AI Project, outlined plans to convert 75 per cent of the ministry’s operations and specialised functions to Agentic AI models through a phased programme covering assessment, capability building, pilot deployment and full-scale rollout.
Shamsa Jaber Al Falasi, Executive Director of Transformation and Development at the Presidential Court, highlighted initiatives such as sovereign AI infrastructure, the Diwan GPT platform and employee capability-building programmes, and conveyed directives from His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan to convert 75 per cent of the Presidential Court’s services to Agentic AI within two years.
The event also featured a panel discussion on AI adoption in government and concluded with seven specialised workshops, delivered in partnership with leading technology companies and with Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence.
